DHP helps DS Virgin Racing boost its profile

The DHP Studios team have quite literally been revving up their engines and gearing up for this shoot (all puns intended). Amazing cars. Incredible drivers and an interactive creative marketing campaign to top all others; it can only be DS Virgin Racing.

What was the brief?

DS Virgin Racing asked us to create a dramatic promo for the run up to the FIA Formula E London Races in 2016 to generate excitement, promote the drivers #fanboost chances and showcase the new UK themed bodywork.

 

What’s #fanboost?

#fanboost is how DS Virgin Racing fans show support for the racing driver of their choice. By using the hashtag on social media as well as the driver’s name, fans can show support in the build up to race days as well as win the chance to be connected to the driver, receiving an exclusive personalised video and other special prizes.

 

What did we do?

In close collaboration with our friends at Pitch Marketing Group, we had exclusive access to the car and driver Sam Bird for one night only in Electric Avenue, Brixton.

With this limited and intense timeframe we had to shoot fast – capturing high quality key shots with a view to bringing the film to life in post-production.

Using photogrammetry and camera projection techniques, we created lightning and bolts of electricity in post.

How much coverage did we gain?

The finished product received over one hundred thousand views in the first week and numbers continue to rise.

We’ve stuck another DHP pin on the Asian map as we completed a series of animations for Regus in Singapore. Our creative footprint was seen by all on billboards that were placed around a new mall that was being built in Penang with a fully operating Regus Business Lounge inside.

Boori 3D Video Animation With Photorealistic Stills

DHP has been feeling very paternal lately. We have been working on a 3D animation video by creating photo realistic stills for an Australian Nursery Furniture company called Boori. They have been a specialist manufacturer of cot beds for over 17 years and this year they are re-branding and re-modeling their website.

The “My Boori” website just went live. Our job was to create photo realistic stills of the Boori furniture, so customers could create their own personal Boori nursery room online. We have worked on stills for Boori in the past, and so you may be thinking that this would be quite a straightforward project…

Creating a 3D mirror ball – John Lewis

Move over John Travolta because there is definitely some Saturday night fever in the air at DHP. We recently completed a giant mirror ball project with Silent Studios the creation will be projected in to shop windows at John Lewis as part of a new campaign.

DHP at AWEurope

I’m sure you’re all aware that London recently played host to AWEurope. The five-day event is sited in and around BAFTA 195, Piccadilly. If you’re not au fait with Advertising Week Europe it’s essentially an epic week of inspiring talks and debates interwoven with parties and networking opportunities. The Lighthouse Company runs the event & their Founder & CEO Kathleen Saxton had a warm presence throughout the week. Naturally DHP were delighted to be involved; we had a team filming PPA events in Studio B all week!

The Nike Inneva
